Starter problems making me crazy

might be the bushing (in the block). the one the starter shaft engages when
you install it. if it is misaligned, it may not be able to throw the pinion
out into the flywheel teeth.
another possibility is that you may be missing an engine-to-tranny bolt or
2. if this is bad enough, it may misalign the pinion enough for it to not
engage the flywheel.

Subject: Starter problems making me crazy

> I have a starter that will not shut off sometimes. Its the second one I
tried so I am thinking that its not the starter. It keeps spinning but as it
spins its not engaging the flywheel. I posted this on vortex and a fellow
rocco owner mentioned that maybe its the pos cable. Any other ideas for
things I can troubleshoot?
