Motor go boom

Ok, it hasn't quite yet, but it's about to.

Valves are still noisy .. a few days ago I drove it hard ... now every time 
the rev needle pushes past 3200 I get a metallic buzzing, and not the gentle 
kind, coming from the head or block area. Push past 4000 it tends to 
subside, but cross the 3800-3200 it's always there, very angry.

Is there a major motor part swap in my future. I don't think sounds like 
these go away by themselves huh :)
