more cheap tricks (shift linkage)



Be careful how much mass you add to the linkage. Don't do anything that is
not reversible. Certain weights can under the right conditions pull the
transmission into neutral. This will only happen when you absolutely need it
to be in gear, like when that big rig is bearing down on you. Also the more
weight you put on the shifter the more stress you are putting on the
syncros. Those things are a weak link already.
