[OT]: Best road trip songs?

On crisp fall evenings or lonely pre-dawn mornings out in god's country with
the windows down and the speedo buried, not much sounds better than
Morphine.

In hectic city traffic, during the transit stage to the next piece of twisty
deserted road, you need a good wailing angry femme like Liz Phair or Juliana
Hatfield to renew your zest for life.

Lazy Sunday morning drives are best accompanied by mellow alt country acts
like Uncle Tupelo, the Old 97's or Sun Volt.

A good Wagnerian opus provides a vibrant accompaniment to big ugly
thunderstorms out on the plains.

Gravel roading demands country music, pure and simple. The strongest FM
signal is almost always best for this, unless you get too close to a 'major
market' that has a national syndicate affiliate instead of Jeb and Luke's
radio station.

There are probably more and better ideas, keep 'em coming...
