dumb 16v comversion question



>From what I understand the 16v pump is a "prepump" in the gas tank. I
had a problem a while back in my 83 8v when I would corner REAL tight,
it would almost run out of gas even when the tank was half full. That's
when I heard about the upgrade on the 16v...Not really sure...

No, the main pump is the pressure pump, the in tank pump is only to get
the
fuel out of the tank.  I believe the reason why they mounted an
electrical
device IN gasoline is for safety reasons.  HTH!!
