Jeff-
Like you, I've associated the two-stripe look with fast road cars =
since the 60's. I'd do it except they are fast becoming semi-poplular =
with the ricer crowd out here.
Maybe something like this would be tastefully acceptable: paint the =
stripes on your 'roc, but instead of a wildly contrasting color, use the =
SAME color as your car, just tint it with a little black or a little =
white to make the shade just one step darker or lighter. That way it =
would be very subtle, but there nontheless.

The guy who brought up the Sierra cosworth scoop got me reminiscing...
  =20
ever since before I could even drive, I've always been enamored with =
the two racing stripe look on the late '60s Amercian muscle cars.
  =20
I've kinda wanted to do it to a Scirocco, but have always kinda felt =
that it would look out of place and that it really only belongs on those =
American muscle cars. I'm normally pretty particular about trying to =
staying true to the secular design trends of each type of car...
  =20
A not-so-good example would be like putting a type R sticker on a roc =
- it's just something you don't do...
  =20
  What's everyone's take?
