digifit fuel system

Yes, you will need some sort of chip. The g-60 system
is a speed-density system. There is no mass airflow
meter. What this means is that fuel is injected based
on manifold pressure & air temperature. In the
higher rpms where your 16v breathes better, the ecu
will be fueling based on what an 8v needs. It is set
up for the air flow of an 8v and gives an injector
pulse based on manifold pressure & air temperature and
can't compensate for changes in volumetric
efficiency(the extra air that a 16v pulls in). Does
that make any sense? Besides if the $125 they charge
your for a few chips is too much, the rest of the
turbo conversion will break you. Lots of little
parts.
