Thermostat cover bolts

I'd cut the head off, remove the other allen, remove
the water outlet... Then heat it up with a MAP gas
torch, spray penetrating oil and clamp a ViseGrip on
the shaft, and turn it out carefully, back and forth
as if you were tapping something.

I snapped one of the bolts, replacing the thermostat
on Gorgeous green recently and the broken bolt shaft
came right out.

>I tried to switch to a cooler thermostat today but
one of the allen bolts that hold the plastic water
outlet was stripped. Anybody knows how to take it ou
without removing the whole water pump?
