I'd say:

- He's right, it's not too serious. 

- He's also right, improving the grounds will help.

- I'm right too; the Alt needs enough revs (like that other guys said:
he was right), to get the winding to start producing electricity.
Helping the electricity flow will help the Alt get to generating on it's
own.
