does the windage tray do anything noticeable?

Man, that is weird.  I have had mine on for almost a year and a half and =
never had a problem.  I even dropped the pan to do something (not =
telling) and re-used it and it still doesn't leak.  I did us the Curil =
stuff though which is THE only think you want to add to gaskets in my =
opinion.  HTH!!

  I recently installed one and am not happy. It leaked terribly so I =
pulled it and removed the metal bushings in the rubber gasket to try to =
get a better seal. It still leaks just not as badly. I'm going to remove =
it and go back to the fiber gasket.
