 You *could* go to that trouble, but when I got my reground intake
cam, I reinstalled it with plenty of Mobile 1 oil and ran the motor
for a few minutes above 2000 rpm and then went for a nice easy test
drive.  I didn't touch the old lifters... just plug-n-play!
 I think that the most important thing would be to install the caps
in the correct orientation and position.  And while you're in there
you could replace the cam chain and the seals.
