Dash Lights

I just purchased a speedo/tach assembly from a local junkyard and was 
wondering how you get the little light bulbs out. I've tried twisting, 
pulling, etc. I know when one of you answers this I'm gonna feel like a real 
dummy, I'm just afraid I'm gonna break them.
