Mine is an 86.5,  and yes it is red.  

I also remember reading in one of those old car mag articles that said the 
German engineers went to the detail of designing the engine so that if the 
timing belt broke there would be no engine damage.  buuzzzzzzzzz.  wrong, try 
again, been there done that.  O well latrz.
