My transmission, the old and the new.

Well I went in to the shop to drop off my new transmission (thanks
Ron), and got my first look at my old transmission. For all those of
you who helped me attempt to diagnose my problem, what turns out to
be the cause is a couple of clutch bolts sheared, and punched a hole
in my transmission! It looked like someone had opened up on my
transmission with a couple of rounds from a .50 cal rifle! The odd
thing is that after seeing the damage, I would have thought it would
have made more noise when it died, but it really quietly exploded,
leaving all sorts of transmission shrapnel in there.

Anyway, my car should be up and running by this weekend, and then I
can finally put my wonderful new TT exhaust on the car! Happy day for
me and my car, less than wonderful day for my poor beleaguered
pocketbook.

The goal is to overcome the deliberate nature of the process.
