Other options I've seen:   Use A2 Golf springs.  They will lift the car
about 1 inch.   A friend did this on his ralley car.   I've also seen
some 83/84 Jetta's with a/c that had stiffer front springs.  I've
actually got a set here, the lifted my car at least an inch.
