8v to 16v conversion

I'm thinking of changing my trusty 8v DX (118hp)to a
16v (the 139hp UK engine). Its done 92000 hard miles,
has just blown its head gasket and i want a bit more
GO.

What issues may i face.

I already have a 42mm 16v Scirocco inlet manifold and
appropriate throttle body.

I can source a complete lump for GBP 150.

Do i need:

The 16v gearbox
The 16v metering head and loom

Anything else - exhaust manifold perhaps
