Hmmm... one thing I just remembered, I recently installed a new JVC SH-99
head unit. It's instructions said it needed to be wired directly to the
battery vs using the wiring harness. My old deck was wired this way. This
was about a week before I started to notice any problems... though now that
I think about it, around this time, at one point I noticed that I seemed to
be using a somewhat higher amount of fuel... :|

I read a few posts in the archives about the wiring harness on the
alternator being corroded causing people to go through multiple alternators.
Just to be on the safe side I would like to go ahead and replace it. Anybody
know how a much a set runs?
