RE: Need Wipor Motor... or something

This is a quick fix I came up with when my wiper arms died...it's only good
until you can get new wiper arms.

1-Take the wiper arms off and clean the spindles sticking out of the car
with a very small wire brush.
2-Mix some epoxy, put a thin layer of epoxy on the wiper arm splines and let
it dry for 24 hours.
3-Then, put the wiper arms back on, tighten the nuts - don't overtighten
them! - you're good for a month. Of course, that's in rain...don't know how
long it will last in snow.

It actually snowed in the Puget Sound area today. I wiped my window
completely off while driving so I don't think the weight of snow had
anything to do with it but about 30 seconds from work my driver side wiper
stopped working though my passenger one was still going. The wiper just
lays there kinda limp now, I thought it some how got pushed down so when I
got to work I adjusted and then tried them again, it worked about two more
times then went off the windsheild and was haning off by the side mirror.
I'm guessing the motor is screwed, maybe some attachment is messed up. I'll
go and look at it in a few minutes but I wanted to get the word out that I
may need a new motor so if anybody has one email me. Its not good to be
wiperless in Washington during the winter ;o)
