Re: Anyone looking for parts?



Not wanting to stir, or anything ;-) but.. NGK are VAG OEM parts for some 
applications: they are the only ones listed for the infamous 3A (/AAD in my 
case, same thing) audi engine. I've been using the standard bosch W7s with 
mine for years, tried the NGKs - didn't notice any difference so I'll go 
back to the bosch next change, only because they're easier to come by (for 
me) and cheaper.
Nippon-seikei are another example: VAG speedo parts;  Ducellier / Valeo are 
French.  I agree that in general german parts = OEM / good quality, largely 
because the manufacturing laws are pretty strict, but I don't think it's 
fair to label all japanese, or where-ever, parts as crap without at least 
checking out the general consensus on them. In the end, unless you buy from 
the stealership, you pretty much get what you pay for.
