Encourage your kids to enlist. That "intens-ness" is one reason military
service can be so character-building.

I feel the same way as you guys..I really miss some of my "mates", but I
don't miss the "system". As I get older (been out 9 years), I find myself
prouder of my service, even though at the time I couldn't wait to get out.
It really changed my life for the better, but I hope my kids never go in. It
can be really intense at times.
