Bumpers mods - Was: MKII big bumpers?

Interesting. I grabed a set from a Jetta (should be the same front as a
golf, longer rear for the hatch area) and they required some trimming to
fit nicely around the fenders, but ended up flush and almost lined up
with a BBS body kit (a bit of fiberglassing and they should blend). Now
supposedly this jetta had the "euro" big bumper, but I thought that was
just a crock. They looked like the regular style 90+ golf front bumper.

I found that if you used the original Scirocco Rebar it stuck out way
too much and looked real bad, so I pulled it in closer by using the
jetta rebar and cutting and welding the jetta brackets so you can mount
them into the Scirocco regular mounting area.

I have them off now, as I want to try the Audi GT covers. They look
much longer and look like they will be much easier to mold into the
fender flares of a stock 16V package.

Has anyone looked at the Corrado front end? I haven't seen any in the
wreckers around here lately, and I was wondering how wide the front end
was. Will a Corrado front bumper cover fit around the fenders of a
Scirocco. There are some nice looking Corrado bumper kits that might
look nice on a Roc..
