feul enrichment wiring and other qs

ive made my module, but im not sure i have it wired correctly.  i performed teh injector test, and boy, ive never seen anythnig like it. The spray pattern looked like a pissing cigar.  Im sure that's not a good thing.  Now, i bought a potentiometer, and ive already discovered ive wiored the relay backwards, so when the relay is energized the potentiometer is not activated.  That is easy to fix...now, the potentiometer i bought has 3 leads, the midde lead is the input, the two outside leads are the high/low outputs.  Do i coneect them both to pin 87  or do i connect one and leave the other disconnected... also, i need to get a 2k potentiometer, so i can adjust the range, as the one i bought is a 5k, and goes from 3k to 5k.  teh question i need answered is the 3 leads problem, i know the in gets wired to pin 87A, and the other two or one of the otehr 2 leads get connected to 87, upping the ohm,making the engine think its cold, enriching the feul mixture.
