Re: stereo wiring

Do you have the wiring diagrams for the Radio? There is usually one wire that goes to constant power. Connect that to the wire in the VW harness that is constant power. The VW harness does not have switched power, therefore, you want to wire the switched power wire from the Radio harness to a switched power source on your fuse box. You will need to find it on your fuse box, and if memory serves me right, there are at least two switched power posts on the far right hand side of the fude box (if looking straight at the fuse box, with fuses and relays staring you in the face.

You will need to get behind the fuse box, find the accesory posts (if looking at the back of the fusebox they would be on your far left). The easiest way to tell which ones they are are to look for the empty posts and use a multi meter to find out which posts get power with the ignition switch on, and no juice with the ignition switch off.

Its actually really easy. You may need to extend the switched power wire on the harness that came with your radio so that it can reach the fuse box.
