heartwarming Scirocco experience

While running around town today picking up parts for my engine swap, I
noticed a nice looking red 8V at a light a few cars ahead of me.  
Intrigued, I lit into it and pulled alongside at the next light.

I gave the horn a toot-toot and looked over with a big grin and a
thumbs-up sign.

I was pleased as punch when the driver turned and instantly reciprocated
both grin and thumbs-up.

Imagine my surprise (and pleasure) to see that the gentleman driver looked
to be in his sixties, and very much in love with his car, which, although
it was a different shade of red (well, it was ACTUALLY red, not orange)
than Carrots, had exactly the same snowflake rims, and was in VERY nice
shape.

He never even missed a beat!
