what color speedo cable?

My speedo is saying i'm doing like 10+mph faster than i'm doing. what speedo
cable is correct for a 4k tranny? i've tried a white and a red one. both of
them are doing the same. I've always had this problem with my 80 also. i've
never been able to tell how fast i'm going.. stupid speedo especially the
odometers.. heh..
