handmade clear tails

ive seen the picture on the scirocco.org website of the 16v with the handmade clear tail light assemblies, and i want to pretty much duplicate them.  If anyone knows how this was done and lookes so good, please send me a full set of instructions and material list!!

also, any ideas for a 7 letter custom plate that is as bad-ass as my rocco?
