It's on both the front and the back of the block and it's cast into it
not stamped.



I think all of the 2.0 have the air intake/airbox and throttle body on
the 
left side, and all of the 1.8's have that on the right side. Peace

The Scirocco is the only US 16v VW to have the injection on the DRIVERS
(left) side.  When referring to points on a car, do it as if you were
sitting in the car unless you reference otherwise.
