Re: [VW info] H.D. connecting rods?

I'm in the process of tossing a G60 block out but I just heard that the
connecting rods are "heavy duty".  Can anyone confirm or debunk this?  As
I remember, I looked on ETKA and saw that they are indeed a different
part # than that I'm used to and I think I remember them being 144mm. 
Help before I trash something that may be eBay material.
