On my previous GTI 86 and on my actual rocco 87 16v, both
were not activated with the key... Because it is directly
connected to the battery.

Do you have your radio hooked "correctly" to be on
independant of the key, or do you conform to the
rest of society and hook it into the key?

I think VW switched in '94, but I'm just guessing.

- slightly upset that his new radio dosen't have
an on/off button.  Instead it has a push and hold
until it shuts off button.
