Re: help diagnose this brake problem



Sounds exactly like my car when I first bought it.  Replaced master cylinder 
and all was fine.  MC's are not that expensive (after return of core) and 
not all that hard to swap, so it may be worth a try even if it doens't fix 
your problem.
