OT Rice and aviation fuel

Lots of anti rice sentiments here lately. Yesterday I went to the Canadian
Import Nationals / Hamilton Air Show. Fortunately the Hondas were not running
and the Merlins were (love the sound of those engines, especially the four in
concert on the Lancaster, not so fond of the Honda tone but IMHO they make a
fine engine)
As for Rice, don't be critical, they have their own set of rules which are:
lower is better (one plate read SOLOITHZ), get the biggest flashiest rims and
a corresponding set of black rubber bands to go around them, select a wild
interior colour(s) that does not match the exterior paint (which should also
be pretty wild) spray the interior with it (them) and add a lot of coloured
hoses to the engine bay, and if it isn't low enough, add at least half a ton
of stereo equipment to announce your presence from a distance of three miles.
This is seriously what the judges were looking for, I saw the judging sheet,
of course it was worded a bit differently. So to each his own, there were some
outrageous rides there, each probably costing 40,000 at least. So they love
their cars, and that's great.
Not for me, most of my mods are invisible and the sleeper aspect is a lot of
fun.
And I don't suffer from the car equivalent of penis envy, not threatened by
them at all, to each his (her own) and no I don't wish I had one, take that as
you wish +:O
As for the Air show, great day, light clouds which lifted for the Snowbirds,
with the usual old warbirds that have come to be like old friends (from the
local warplane museum, they keep them in flying condition)

Cahy, two weeks without my Rocc, holding up pretty well considering. At least
the Chevys can't get it.
