FINALLY.....thank you all

Long time no emails,

Just like to thank all of you for the advise and
sharing of info over the past 8-10 months.  I finally
just picked up my 'Roc with its newer 1.8 16V (72,000
on the clock)  tuesday afternoon.  It is not 100 % but
i plan on having it there soon.  Total cost of the car
that i got for free.....


engine: $650
clutch, hoses, belts, installation of engine, axel,
and other stuff i can't remember at 12 am: $1200
tires: $290
batt and Alt: $170
K & N: $35
Heat/A/c control : $30
Insurance paid since death of old engine: $110 X 4=
$440
THe shop that figured out why it wouldn't run and a
few other things: $220

Total since acquisition 8/00:  $3035

Damn i'm adicted to this car!

Money well spent

School is over and I/m back on the Cape (Anyone taking
any Vacations down here??? Gimme an email)  THere are
a few Scirocco's on the cape and while on a run in my
own neighborhood they is a early 20's guy that i
talked to for 10 seconds just to ask what engine he
had.  Plan on stopping by to tell him all about the
list.  He has Eurolights and mentioned doing an engine
swap.  

O yeah,  I live in Sandwich, the first town over the
Sagamore (the northern one) Bridge.
