Re: [sunroof] lubrication recommendations?



According to the "factory" manual I have on roofs,....lithium grease on the
old roofs that had "plain" cables and Oil on the "furry" cables.  (sorry for
that technical term,...but I don't remember what they call them)  The furry
cables are what you have.  (or at least should)  I removed the entire roof
from my car last summer for shits and giggles and to install the power roof
motor.  (mine used to stick when it got cold as well)  After the through
cleaning and allowing it to air dry I oiled the cables with motor oil.  The
power roof works great and no more difficulties.
