A great procedure - the only caveat is that starting with the 90 model
year for Jettas, and sometime during the 90 model year for Golfs, VW began
using a single 28 pin connector for the instrument cluster, rather than
the 2 (white and black) connectors found previously.  Obviously clusters
from these 90> cars can not be used in the Scirocco without modifications
to the car's wiring harness.
