I thight I had one...) which resulted in him finding me a 2.0 L specimen
(thanks, got one) or the other option was an 8V head (no such thing as a 16V
1.8 he said, like asking for a four cylinder V6 I was told), and at one
point
he asked if I meant a turbo deisel, and if it had two cams and etc until I
hung up.
I hate people like that... I'd like to kick them in the teeth...
Anyway, I think I need an engine out of a post 86.5 Rocc, or pre 90 Jetta/
pre 91 GTI. What models/years was this engine available in and is there a
particular engine code I need to ask for (I know the 2L 16V is a 9A, I
assume
the 1.8 16V is not)
The 1.8 16v came in everything that was a 16v before 90. That means 86.5-88
Scirocco 16v and 87-89 Golf/Jetta. Here it is right here, on Jan's page:

So, anyone who knows of one, let me know. I'm not paying for it anyway, but
