Re: Alloy Gas Caps Found

Here is a secret. about the locks.
If you get the VIN # off the salvage bike. (Honda's) I know for sure you
can get keys made. Or just take it to a key shop and get a key made for
$20. I've had to do this for my bike. They did it in the parking lot. in
about 20 min put a soft blank in and worked it filing out the dented
parts.

Option #2 get a new lock set from the dealer.. The whole lock set for my
bike: ignition, fuel cap, and helmet lock was $240.00 (after my bike was
stolen by the neighbor's nephew and I got it back. (+ another 1200.00 in
plastic not to mention he never got it started...hehehe dead battery.
barttery under seat, corbin seat that was stronger than the fool.)

Or many times salvage yards will have the keys to the bikes...

Might be able to work out a deal euro lights (if i get a roccoII 16v ) for
a fuel tank with key. but you'll have to take it to a body shop to have it
put in.

The way mine is mounted in my bike is it has 6 or 8 screws (bike 100+mi
away) in a polygon pattter (hex or octal) that is the hinge mechanism,
that then seals the gas tank, but you need to be aware that the KEY hole
is a VENT for the tank.

read that again the Key hole is a VENT for the tank.
I dont know how this will effect emmisions equipment. There is one other
option that I can think of. Racers use a gas cap that you just slam the
filler into that might work. any weekend M/C racers out there with a
source for one of these?....

Well, Have a good day.

and for the guy that wanted that Hunter green Raddo G60, Might have a deal
for you. Do you have a 16v w/ sunroof and leather? Not RED. .
Smile your on make a deal network...
