All Sciroccos are Karmann editions, actually, they were built at the
Karmann Coachworks in Osnabrück.  All Sciroccos came from there.  Karmann
is a specialty builder of usually lower volume higher quality autos
(especially during the times our cars were built).  The Karmann Ghia
obviously came from there, so did the Corrado and (most if not all) of
the A1 bodied Convertibles and Cabriolets.
