RE: ND dates confirmed - CLEAR YOUR CALENDARS!

Said dedication saw me at work on my new baby here in the parking garage
(she's not tagged yet, I don't feel like chancing fate to drive her home on
1996 tags).  New battery - cranks right up first try, K&N filter, proper
spark plugs, wires, cap, etc., etc.

With the suspension/strut setup, it rides much firmer than my 87 did - makes
for some fun laps around the parking garage at 11pm! :-)

Now I get to look forward to fun at the DMV this week.  Whee.

Question for CA listers - this car has tags from 1996.  Am I going to have
to pay a hefty penalty when I register it?  The dmv's website isn't exactly
clear on this point.

Ask anyone who showed up last year but didn't enter their car - several
listers were kicking themselves once they got there and realized that
"show car" condition was NOT the least bit necessary to hang with the
gang!  But most of the crowd got the message and entered, and the result
is hanging on Potterman's wall.. :D

And now Pat has moved to  Silicon Valley and just bought a Mk1.  Now that's
dedication!
