Re: audi 2.0 head



>From a practical point of view, there is little difference between the audi 
& VW-CIS head - the audi is CIS, albeit with a motronic ECU, and the VW CIS 
injectors are plug'n'play.   The audi manifold, which you would have to use 
if you keep the audi head, has bigger runners (AFAIK) and the bigger bore 
throttle bodies are a striaght bolt-on, no porting necessary.  The only 
thing I'm not sure about is the head profile, i.e. would putting a standard 
VW head drop the compression? If you are running CIS without knock sensors 
this would probably be beneficial as they are prone to pinking otherwise.
