Re: Gear change question



It could be bushings.  I would look at the bolt that connects the shift rod 
to the rubber ball thingy.  It is right at the bottom of the firewall, next 
to the exhaust.  I hate trying to describe mechanical things with typing!!!  
Anyhow, that bolt often goes loose and will allow the fore/aft slop.

When the cars in gear i have about 2 inches of back and forward play in the
stick. Is it a bush (es) or something else
