Is the radio very hot when the fuse blows? Maybe you need a fan. You are right,
don't increase the fuse amperage! This is the main fuse for the radio? If you
split the output wires the resistance (lower ohms) is reduced which makes the
amp run hot.
The whine can be fixed by getting noise filters. They are usually large
condensors, and filter out the AC.
