Intake manifold cleaning

Hi everyone,

     Does anyone have any cleaner they recommend for cleaning the intake 
manifold? Mine is rather dull in appearance, and I'm just trying to clean 
things up a bit.  I have some castrol superclean which seems to work OK 
along with a wire brush to scrub everything. However, it says not to use it 
on aluminum. If anyone knows of anything short of polishing it that will 
make it somewhat clean looking, please let me know.
