Shannon,

When you change the oil, run your hands through the oil that you drained out
of the engine. Typically if you have blown rings you'll feel some gritty
metal stuff in there.

Also, when you test the compression...First run it with dry cylinders and
write down the results. Then put in several drops of oil and run the test
again. Typically if the compression readings go with after you put the oil
in, that means that the rings aren't sealing.

I sure can't think of a reason why they'd go out so fast. Hopefully it's
something much simpler. Let us know.
