Re: Alignment Issues

Make sure your lower ball joints are all tight and in place. I had this
happen, it turned out that 2 bolts in the lower ball joint were loose,
and it moved around under load/pressure causing the alignment to "move"
as the car tracked. Another thing to check is that you may have left it
up too long, and if it was under the control arm or pushing up on the
strut, you may have pushed it up too far. Push up and down on the car a
few times when it's level and see if you can settle it. Then put a big
jack under the oil pan, and lift the car up evenly on even ground. Drop
two jack stands under the points where they should be, and take the
front wheels off and make sure *EVERYTHING* is tight. If that doesn't
work, another possibility is that by putting a new rear mount in, you
shifted the motor's position. If the motor's position is too far off it
will cause this. Then read the bentley and look into motor alignment,
it's not that bad/hard. I went through this trying to align my black 85
way back when. I was close, and it turned out that my problem aside from
the mounts and loose things up front was a bent rear axle beam :)
