K&N-better mileage?

Has anyone bothered to check their gas mileage before and after fitting a
K&N to their 8V?  I'm considering getting one for that reason alone (not
that my 1.7 sucks down the gas or anything), and I'll most likely get one
for my Jeep because if it improves fuel economy by even 0.5 mpg, it will pay
for itself before my next oil change.

Does anyone have numbers?
