First off besides the fact that I dont like Camar... I mean Corrados you 
would be hard pressed to find a decent VR6 for 6 grand and any G60 you find 
has the potential to get real expensive when the charger goes . 
My vote is for my own car or similar spec.

Get the cleanest MK1 and with the rest of the money put some suspension on it 
, upgrade the brakes and then put in a nice strong engine. I prefer the 2.0 
16v of course but a 8v should do just fine for starters. As far as motor swap 
cost I did mine for less than most can find an 8v for . It just takes alot of 
shopping around and patience.
