1986.5-1988 Scirocco 16v
1987-1989 Jetta Gli 16v (use your intake and exhaust manifolds and
mounts)
1987-1987 Golf GTI 16v (use your intake and exhaust manifolds and mounts)

1990-1992 Golf GTI 16v
1990-1992 Jetta Gli 16v
1990-1992? Passat GL

again, your intake, exhaust, and mounts are necessary for the easy swap

With a 2.0 head?...bolt on your intake and exhaust manifolds and mounts
With a 1.8 head?...bolt on your intake and exhaust manifolds and mounts
and remove the alignment dowel closest to the transmission.

Probably a 1.8

Probably a .18

cost of installation should be the same with either engine

1.8's are getting high on the mileage and 2.0's should be easier to find
than when I got mine 8 years ago. I nearly made the misteak of
installing a 1.8 when my old 1.8 blew a piston out the front and the rod
went out the back of the block. A 2.0 will do wonders for your Scirocco
and it's the first on my list of mods to a 16v. An 11hp gain may not
sound like a great deal but take it from those that have done it, it is.

That really depend on how much you spend on the engine and what rate the
shop charges you for the installation. I do a
removal/rebuild/installation for $800.00 but I'm a heck of a nice
guy...and I'm in NC.

No problem

I have a G60 long block and a 1.8 16v engine :) but I'm in NC :(

Eric
