The non A/C non P/S bracket is a different animal Shannon.  It's MUCH
smaller than a stock US market bracket.  It's still cast iron, but it only
weighs a pound or two and kind of looks like a little porkchop.  Shannon,
you're thinking of the non-A/C bracket which keeps the power steering.  In
this case, you're right.  It's not much different than a stock bracket with
a cut top and a relocated alternator.
