Re: A2 Downpipe in A1 Chassis

The A2 downpipe into an A1 will NOT work!  The A2 chasis has a subframe that
the downpipe has to curve to avoid.  The A1 downpipe is a straight down shot
from the manifold to where it curves to the back of the car and goes into
the cat (for those of you with catalyst cars).  I have used the flex portion
of the A2 downpipe to replace the flex portion of the A1 downpipe when mine
started leaking (a very cheap fix especially when A2 downpipes are so
plentiful) but other than that, the piping won't work.  I sure wish it would
though since I have come accross performance downpipes, headers, etc at our
shop that no one wanted and we sold for CHEAP!  Anyway, sorry but it won't
work, even with an A2 manifold.  HTH!!
