Yes, I put one up for a prize at last years Cincy road rally.  Mike Potterman
thought it was made by a company called 'Quicker' back in the day.  It
_might_ have been used on the Callaway cars as it's about the right time
frame for it.  You're right about it seeming like a good design though, but
it's not legal in IT racing as the bar serves more then one purpose (it
stiffens the lower control arm mounts and serves at the pivot points for
the bar).
